new hen, first egg

We went to the forest today to collect acorns, go fishing, and draw by the waterside. I love the way the field-grass looks in different amounts of sunlight. When the icy morning dew still lingers upon each blade, and the sun only squints her eyes awake, it looks as if its been dusted with dreams. Beneath heavy clouds it blends together like an infinite feather-down blanket and I fall down where the deer have lain and get lost inside. When the sky glows like cornflower and the sun takes not one single blink, each blade of grass is visible. Each one dances and rustles and sings a soft song beneath my feet. It's nice to know a bit of land intimately.

Jamie's CSA work share
Why work for money when you could do it for food instead?
(ps. I think there are going to be a lot more cria sweaters sewn pretty soon. That plain navy isn't enhancing her cuteness as much as polka dots or calico could.)
