Hello, Oliver and Abraham readers! My name is Cassie, and I blog about the funny, serious, and little things in life at Witty Title Here. I'm a good friend of McKenzie's-- and by "good friend," I mean the kind who writes "P.S. poop" at the end of her emails and letters. (Yes, McKenzie
and I do exchange the occasional letter because we're fancy that way.)
Pictured below is me with the rock stars Oliver and Abraham. I can tell
you they're just as cute in person, and they clearly haven't been
affected by the fame.
McKenzie
asked that I share some of my photos here, and I'm happy to oblige.
Though I'm a complete amateur, photography has become one of my favorite
hobbies over the past couple of years thanks to the discovery of my
stepdad's 1975-ish Minolta. Since I took over, I've become more
accustomed to
shooting with a manual film camera. Admittedly, it's made for times of
heartbreak. During a trip to California with my boyfriend, John, I went
to replace a roll of film only to find the roll in the camera hadn't
rewound properly, and the film was ruined-- exposed to the sunlight.
(Not that I cried... much.) While I still haven't perfected the art of
it (F-stops? aperture?),
there's nothing more exciting than developing a roll of film to find postcard-worthy shots. My sisters, dogs, and backyard are some of my favorite and most frequent subjects. A couple here are from my trip with John to California, and I think they're so much better than standard digital camera tourist shots.
These are a
few of my favorites:
Of course, I can't not include a photo of the beautiful bride-to-be. Thanks for letting me take over on your blog today, McKenzie. I can't wait to see you walk down the aisle. There will be lots more photos to come following the big day!
