I made this lightweight cotton baby jacket for my friends Regina and Brice who are expecting a new baby at the end of September. It was the first time following a pattern, which turned out to be way less intimidating than I imagined. I loved making it mostly because of the little details I could be creative with. The crosshatch embroidery... the eyelet lace... the wool-embroidered applique lamb (that looks strangely similar to an armadillo).

What a sweet little jacket. Did you use the pattern for the whole jacket, or just the armadillo?
ReplyDeleteThank you! :) The pattern was just for the basic shape of the jacket. The "armadillo" was an afterthought.
ReplyDeleteThat is so precious! What an incredibly beautiful and thoughtful gift. I love the little brown lamb - so, so sweet :)
