Our wedding day is still such a blur, a lovely blur, but a blur nonetheless. However, the time leading up to our wedding is crystal clear. I remember the night I drew the flower of life per Jamie's request. (He said he never thought a drawing could turn him on! ...and then I spilled red wine on my shirt but figured out how to remove it with salt and boiling water.) I remember drawing the map of our farm at my desk after dark and painstakingly writing the words in cursive. I remember eating homemade pizza that was overloaded with grated Parmesan on a breezy afternoon as we stuffed the envelopes.
Making our invitations was a process I enjoyed so much. To save money, I fit three invitations on one 8.5" x 11" paper and double sided them with "The Particulars." On another paper, I fit six double sided RSVPs. On another I fit three maps of the farm which were single-sided.
Update: I'm now offering custom illustrated wedding invitations in my Etsy shop! Click here to see!

They are absolutely gorgeous and so delicate!
ReplyDeleteWe printed out ours ourselves, type everything, it was so much fun.
And, how much I know what you mean by a "lovely blur"!
Don't you wish you could do it all again!?
Wow, these are amazing!
ReplyDeleteMy wedding day was awful. Someday we'd like to do it again, like an anniversary party-type-thing. When we do I will definitely be contacting you for invites.
