light

I woke up earlier than usual this morning to take pictures of the framed art for my shop. (I admit I'm not yet one of the real farmers who wakes at dawn... 8am is my routine. When I have milking creatures, that will change drastically!) I looked out the window to check on the sheep in the pasture. Uh... Where did they go? Before I could even finish my thought, I heard Percy grunting and looked out the side window near the chicken coop to see him chasing Snap Pea up the hill to our front door! (So much for being able to take pictures in the morning light.) Jamie helped me corral them into the barnyard and separate the two sets of animals. We have them divided in two for very specific breeding purposes. My fingers are crossed that the ladies resisted having affairs last night.

But the point of this post is that while I was searching for the light within my home (wall space with direct light is scarce) the light found me... in the barnyard! You see, we have these wooden planks covering up our hay storage area and the morning sun was turning them golden. I think I can easily put a hammer and nail to them to hang some frames. And how funny would it be to see an art print with a sheep in the background? I personally think it would be hilarious and it's now my weekend goal.

  1. It was! (But unfortunately that Saturday morning happened to be cloudy and cold- perfect for staying inside, which worked out cause I discovered the rare one hour timespan that our bedroom gets a perfect light!)
