Our next door neighbor Steph is mama to two sweet angora bunny brothers as of last weekend. Last night I helped her give the little white one a haircut. I had no idea how matted bunny hair could get. (But still so soft!) Apparently the farm she got them from boards horses who all got the same really bad illness that required 24/7 care. The bunnies' hair-maintenance was obviously lowest on their priority list, so their new haircuts are going to be pretty ridiculous. The white one basically ended up with a mohawk going down his back and a poof of hair on top of his head. But did you know that matted angora hair doesn't retain heat as well as when it's nice and combed out? I didn't.
